When I visited Seoul last year, I realized how Koreans give utmost importance and take take pride in their history and culture. Despite it being a metro with buzzing modernity and economy, the historical landmarks and the stories behind them testify how Koreans honor their past and recognize it as the strong backbone that supports the whole of South Korea. I wish Seoul will maintain its strong affinity to its past so it can continue to share to the world the many challenges that it faced and the beautiful triumphs that it celebrated before it became the Seoul of the present.
